Fani-Kayode was cleared by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Monday, November 17.
The former minister was charged on 40 counts of money laundering by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The trial judge, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, discharged and acquitted Fani-Kayode on 38 of the 40 counts but ordered him to enter a defence in respect of counts 25 and 26.
The case has been adjourned till December 8.
