The Trey Songz look-alike was one of the finalists of the 2009 edition of the MTN Project Fame West Africa music reality TV show.
More than four years after his TV appearance, Tolu is now gearing up towards releasing one of his biggest singles "My Lover" - off his untitled album - which also features Don Jazzy himself.
"I feel very privileged, special and blessed to had worked with such a great talent," Tolu told steadybase.com via phone call. "It's not something that ANYONE can just walk into the Marvin house and get. So for me its really very special."
The song "My lover" was produced back in August 2014 by Don Jazzy and has so far created a huge buzz on radio even though the video is yet to be released.
The young singer told Steadybase.com, Monday, that for the first time, he feels recognized and accepted by fans across Nigeria all thanks to the single:
"It's an advantage... It's created more advantage for me. I have released singles in the past which went no where but with this song, it has gotten me attention and buzz in the music scene... It has also increased in my fanbase tremendously... and it makes me want to do more and better," admits the singer.
Giving a scoop on the video, Tolu said “My Lover” was directed by famed music video director Paul Gambit and could drop by the end of this month
